I'm Ruben, and I photograph weddings the way they actually happen: the nerves while you're getting ready, a dad seeing his daughter in her dress, the vows, the wedding party losing it on the lawn, and the dance floor at midnight.

Based in San Antonio, I photograph weddings across the city, the Texas Hill Country and small towns all over the state, with no travel fees anywhere in Texas. When it's time for portraits I'll guide you through every pose. The rest of the day, I stay out of the way and catch what's real.

Guided when you need it, invisible when you don't

Most couples tell me they don't know how to pose. You won't need to. During portraits I give small, specific direction, then let you move and laugh until it looks like you. For the ceremony, family moments and reception, I document quietly so you can stay present.

Wedding photography questions

How much does a San Antonio wedding photographer cost with Radiance?

Wedding coverage is $250 per hour for any length of day, or $2,000 for a full 10-hour wedding day with a second photographer included. There are no travel fees anywhere in Texas. Prints, books, custom magazines and videography are optional add-ons.

Do you photograph church ceremonies and receptions in different locations?

Yes. Many couples marry in a church and celebrate at a hall or event center, like the Kosciusko wedding on this page at St. Anne's Catholic Church and the Kosciusko Community Hall. I plan travel time between locations into your timeline so nothing important is missed.

We feel awkward in front of the camera. Will you help us pose?

That's most couples, and it's exactly what I'm there for. During portraits I give simple, specific direction for where to stand, what to do with your hands and when to look at each other. The rest of the day I step back and document what actually happens.

Do you help plan the photography timeline?

Yes. Before the wedding we go over your schedule together, including getting ready, first look or no first look, family formals, wedding party photos, sunset portraits and reception events, so the day flows and you aren't rushed.

How far in advance should we book?

As early as you can once your date and venue are set, since popular weekend dates go first. If your wedding is soon, ask anyway, because your date may still be open.
